The production of animated piece ‘The Last Fiction’ has wrapped up with a music piece by Shahram Nazeri.
Iranian vocalist and maestro Nazeri has sung the music for the animation directed by Ashkan Rahgozar.
The animated film is the story of an evil figure in Iranian mythology, Zahhak. It is a free adaptation of a story from Iran’s classic literature.
The 120-minute animated movie deals with the narrative of Zahhak and covers the events from the end of Jamshid’s reign up to the beginning of Afaridoun’s reign; two influential rulers in Shahnameh (Book of Kings) by Iranian classic poet Ferdowsi.
The film won recognition and was presented as one of the best ongoing projects at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.
It was also invited to the Marché du Film (lit. Film Market), which is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival and one of the largest film markets in the world.
